Interior building for luxury boats
With the acquisition  of Linskens bv, Gielissen Interiors & Exhibitions is aiming at interior  building for luxury boats, a sector Gielissen has been interested in for a long  time. "We see opportunities in this new market and it fits really closely into  our present business activities. With Linskens bv we are bringing in a lot of  expertise in the area of building high-quality boat interiors", says Bart  Wigman, CEO of Gielissen Interiors & Exhibitions. Gielissen has plans to  expand still further in the boats sector and is holding discussions about  producing comfortable crew cabins for tugboats and building interiors for  luxury yachts.

Building floating vacation homes
With the takeover of Linskens  bv, Gielissen has won an important order. Gielissen Linskens Shipyard will be  engaged to build floating recreation homes. These luxury vacation homes -  Comfortships - lie in a floating maritime resort in Wessem in Limburg. Luxury  yachts with all the comforts of a house are sold to private individuals and  companies, who can then rent out these sailing houseboats. The owner of the  maritime resort provides for the management of the floating recreation homes,  which lie in the park but can also sail under their own steam.

Cooperation within Gielissen
Gielissen Linskens  Shipyard works closely together with Gielissen Neos and Gielissen Botim. The  company employs seven people and the former director of Linskens, Peter  Linskens, will become Shipyard Manager. Gielissen Linskens Shipyard is based in  Wanssum aan de Maas in Northern Limburg.
