Out of the box

GT Solar, a global supplier of equipment to the solar industry, was looking for a totally new stand concept. Not only should they be able to use the new concept at various trade shows (so modular in setup) but it also had to be a real eye-catcher.

Visual centre point

So the assignment for Gielissen was as concise as it was clear: Design a stand that gets off the beaten track. A few creative brainstorming sessions resulted in the basic concept: The entire PV industry revolves around the sun and solar energy. Just as the sun is the star in the solar system, the stand actually had to be the radiant centre point of any trade shows.

Special assignment

As the photos show, the result is fantastic, but it was also a particular challenge not only for our creative department but certainly for the engineering and production groups. You only need to look at it: Round in shape, modular, so adjustable in height and scale and easy to transport. That demands creativity, both in terms of technical design and fabrication itself.

International trade fairs

And now to the key conditions: A striking design and modular in setup, thus varying in size, was achieved in every respect. The 'sun stand' has already been at various international trade shows and has attracted plenty of positive interest everywhere.
