Magazzino

An experience of its own – and good food too

In the former Africa Wharf in Amsterdam's Eastern Harbour – a rapidly developing nightlife area – is Magazzino: a new and unusual restaurant. Unusual because you eat together with other guests from big bowls, like in Italy, and delicious too because you can sample all the dishes.

Enoteca from Italy

Magazzino works primarily with seasonal, organic regional products. But that's not all of the formula, because Magazzino also includes a cooking studio and an Enoteca. An Enoteca has come over from Italy and stands for a separate room where you can enjoy the wine you've bought combined with a simple pasta dish.

An evening among friends with great food

In close cooperation with Magazzino, Gielissen designed and built the restaurant, the cooking studio and the Enoteca. Among them were the customized interior elements, such as the buffets, the counter, the bar, a long wall bench and so forth. All to make sure that guests can dine in comfort and enjoy a great evening out.
